POSTERS OF A KIND
This is a collection of posters made by me for different purposes that show my experimentation with different styles. Each poster is made using a different style or mode of graphic/ poster design. Although some posters had some paper collage or analog work done, each one has a digital element or finishing done to it to maximise the clean and sleek finish to it.
Sherlock Holmes is a character known for his detective skills and his ability to talk a LOT. He is often overexplaining his deductions and mumbling to himself.
This typographic poster tries to showcase some of the most famous quotes from BBC Sherlock in an illustration of Benedict Cumberbatch as the titular character. The quotes written on his body are the dialogues said by Sherlock himself, while the one in the background is the most iconic dialogue of his nemesis, Moriarty.
A poster for the music festival 'Tomorrowland', taking the 2022 theme: A Reflection of Love. Tomorrowland is a large-scale annual electronic dance music festival held in Belgium. This poster was made as a project for an Illustration course at my semester abroad in NABA, Milan.
This poster was made using paper cutouts on a A2 size black background. It was then scanned and edited to add text on the poster.
The design was conceived of elements typically seen in the grand music festival put together in the Tomorrowland logo. A huge challenge of this project was making sure that the symmetry was right, and then getting the colours right as they were on the screen.
An illustrated poster showing the duality of an actor and his character: in this case, Tom Hiddleston and his character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Loki Laufeyson. The two personalities are extremely opposite in nature, the actor being sweet, kind and humble, while the character is portrayed as being cunning, selfish, and chaotic, being the God of Mischief.
The color theme was chosen according to the regal colors of Loki himself, and kept as a contrast to show the contrast between the two personalities.
A dramatic poster for a fictional movie titled 'I Remember'. The purpose of this brief was to choose a phrase at random and make movie posters of different genres for it. This poster was made for the drama genre of cinema.
I was inspired by the iconic style of Saul Bass for the look of this poster. Saul Bass, known for how he introduced motion-picture sequences in movie titles and completely revolutionised the world of graphic design, instantly comes to mind when thinking of drama movies, particularly because of his work with movies like The Man with the Golden Arm and Vertigo.
