Fur 'n' Fuzz

The Problem

There is a huge demand for pet stores in India. The pet store industry is expected to grow at an accelerated rate, yet there is no advancement in technology or interaction seen there yet. The phygital reality experience, which is getting vastly popular in the retail industry, has not been introduced yet to this industry.
Furthermore, pet fashion is at a limited scale and lacks customizability and variety.

Fur 'n' Fuzz is a project that aims to bring the phygital design experience into the pet retail industry. I worked on this project with Riddhi Bhartiya, who is a fashion design student at Unitedworld Institute of Design, India. The branding of the brand and visual identity is shown below.

The Solution

We created an interactive in-store digital experience that helps make pet stores in India more user-friendly. FUR’N’FUZZ is a brand new way for pet owners to shop for clothes for their dogs. Our 3D scanning technology helps scan the dogs to get the best suited size for them. The customer can then choose from a variety of options and customise the selected type of clothing to make the design that they want on the outfit. The customised product is then available at the counter for the customer to pick up in a short amount of time.

Shown below is the branding done for the store: Fur 'n' Fuzz.

Meet Fuzzy! He is the furry little mascot for Fur 'n' Fuzz. Fuzzy loves to try on the selection of clothes offered at the store. It would get annoying if he was so adorable and such a good boy.

Snouts [dog noses] are insanely powerful- dogs use them for smelling, breathing and communicating and interpreting their surroundings. The logo for Fur ’n’ Fuzz was inspired by snouts themselves. A tiny dog head in the middle ensures the communication of the purpose of the brand.
The colours chosen- mainly tints and shades of brown and olive evoke a sense of calmness and relaxation with the deep tones of olive green while still creating a stark contrast. The brown and beige colours are used to strongly associate with commonly seen household pets as much as possible.
